Motivation/Economics: Estimated cost of the project is $3 .25 billion US. This project will create about 1'600 jobs for the Ohio region which has been hit hard by the recent recession. The project is estimated to take 4 1/2 years to build.The AMPGS facility will use powerspan's ECO-SO2 technology to control sulfur dioxide (SO2) emissions with co-benefits for control of mercury and particulate matter.

Comments: AMPGS ( American Municipal Power Generating Station) will supply power to 90 cities in 4 states (Ohio, Michigan, Virginia and West Virginia).
